I’m a creative, technology-enabled operator who partners with executive teams to shape priorities, build plans, and drive follow-through from early ideas to delivered outcomes. In my work and in my life, I’m at my best with room to create, adapt, and make steady progress toward clear goals.
This line, from one of my favorite books, is the reminder I come back to:
“To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only real obligation.”
— Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Venture has deepened my fascination with how capital gets allocated and how technology spreads through a population. It’s a front-row seat to incentives, information, and timing, and I’ve been lucky to experience it across investing, firm operations, investor relations, and portfolio support. I’m fascinated by where the industry is headed and how venture firms evolve to meet it, especially through the craft of firm-building.
I’m most energized in innovation-forward environments, working closely with leadership where the vision is clear and the path to get there is still taking shape. I enjoy work that blends strategy and execution and rewards good judgment under time pressure.
Effective operations work makes complex things feel effortless. I approach my work with the following beliefs:
The details matter. People notice when things feel intentional, clear, and consistent. Getting the small things right builds trust.
The best processes create space for strategic decision-making. I focus on building structure where it helps and keeping things human where nuance and judgment are the edge.
There are no magic tools. What matters is understanding the desired business outcome and choosing approaches that fit how a team operates.
I co-lead Learn AI For Investors, a community that helps investors and operators within investment firms adopt AI tools thoughtfully and practically. Our goal is simple: make the routine work lighter so teams can spend more time on the work that requires judgment.
I grew up between Chicago and Aguascalientes, Mexico and I still prioritize my ties to both places. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, and moving between cultures in my formative years, shaped how I see the world and how I navigate different contexts. Lately I’ve been learning French as part of a longer goal to become conversational across the Romance languages. Outside of work, tango is my practice ground for discipline, focus, intuition, and improvisation. I’m happiest slow traveling, meeting people in new places, and taking very long walks through cities.
If you're working on something interesting in venture capital, operations, or building tools for the future of work, I'd love to hear from you.
